Meet the musicians

Gabriel, aka Abraxxxas, is a hard-hitting French rapper who brings an urgency and a powerful social conscience to the Aftershock crew. Onstage, Abraxxxas 'spits rage'. Backstage, we know him as a friendly and serious guy… but with a great sense of humour.

Ila

The word quirky was invented for Ila. A singer, songwriter and bandleader in her home of Italy, Ila brings a sense of fun and an ear for the unusual to the Aftershock crew. She also brings a documentarian's eye to the project, and can always be relied upon to capture those magic moments. To see Aftershock through Ila's eyes is to really understand it.

Marika

Marika Pellegrini is a master percussionist from Italy. Always focused and steady as a rock - nothing fazes Marika. Usually content to occupy a space in the background onstage and just keep the momentum going, Marika can occasionally humbly step forward and blow everyone away with her virtuosity, before returning to her place in the ensemble.
